Selling my beloved 1971 Land Rover Forward Control Series 2 B camper. Ex military truck. Only 2300 ever built, so she's a collector's item. Still has the original 2.6 straight 6 petrol engine. The engine was overhauled a few years back. The carburetor was recently rebuilt. Just did a 3000km trip to Botswana and back to SA and it was a very smooth trip. The 4×4 capabilities are phenomenal. Recently put brand new ripstop canvas over the seats, gear lever and bench in back, looks beautifully rugged. Custom made leather over the steering wheel. Recently replaced shocks. New propshaft. Had radiator brushed and cleaned with Silverton recently. Tyres fairly new. 2x spare tyres on back. Has custom made 9kg gas bottle holder between 2 spare tyres on back. 2 X jerry cans inside custom holder on roof. Various spares included and neatly packed in boxes. Has pipes on roof that are used for shower water. Shower head screws onto outside. Also has various 220 power points on inside, but was disconnected when solar was taken out. Frame for beds still on inside, can put in two single bed mattresses or one double bed mattress. Shower tent and mess tents included as per pictures. Has 150l petrol tank and 100l water tank. Selling because I'm emigrating. Very few of these Land Rovers left in SA still with original engine. Also still have the original crank, but electric starter was put in. She is an absolute classic and such a pleasure to drive.
