This bed is still in good condition and is solid as a rock. The Base clips into the headboard and is all solid steel, real old school, sturdy and strong. The single bed is slightly longer than regular single beds for kids. Comes with a metal rainbow pattern. This bed simply cannot break and is still in good condition. It comes with a mattress which is fine, just a little fluffed out because of all the movement on the sold school spring base which I suppose is its downfall.
